How to Submit Self-Appraisal in Workwisely's ESS Portal

Performance Management

Employees can view their assigned KRAs/KPIs with their respective weightage and submit self-ratings through the Performance tab as part of the Employee Self-Service(ESS) portal.

This guide assumes your organization’s administrator has enabled the self-appraisal feature and assigned KRA with weightage as part of active appraisal.

  • Log in to your ESS portal and click on the Performance Management → Performance Evaluation in the left-hand menu sidebar.

  • Click the + Initiate KRA & KPA button. A pop-up window will open displaying the list of KRAs assigned to you, based on how your organization has configured the appraisal template.

  • Enter a self-rating for each KRA. The self-rating type and maximum value are determined by your oragnization’s settings . Eg: Maximum rating of 5.

  • You can view the specific weightage assigned for each KRA, which indicates its relative importance in the overall performance scores.

  • Employee scores will be calculated automatically based on the assigned weightage and self-rating.Employee Score = (Weightage × Self Rating) / 100

  • Add Employee Remarks for each KRA.

  • Add Achievement/Remarks to provide your achievements for the assessment period.

  • Navigate through all the required fields.

  • Review the final self-average score that is displayed, which is calculated based on the assigned weightage.

  • Once you have completed all the fields, click the Update button to finalize your self-rating.

  • The finalized self-rating has been forwarded to the Manager for review and rating and the status changed to “To Be Rated”.

  • The Edit option will no longer be available after the self-rating is submitted.

  • To view the submitted rating, select the record and click the View button. The total rating and score will be displayed in the footer.

  • The Manager Rating will be visible once it is published by the respective Manager.

  • Once the Manager submits their rating, the status will change to “Submitted for Closure”

What to do if the KRA is not showing?

  • If the KRA is not associated with your designation, it will not be displayed. Please reach out to the HR team for assistance.
