Compensatory Off (Comp Off) is leave credited to employees for work performed on week offs, rest days, or holidays, providing flexibility and recognition for extra effort. Comp Offs can be configured and credited in two ways: Attendance Rules and Grant Rules.
Attendance Rules
Compensatory Off is earned automatically based on attendance records.
The system monitors when an employee works on a week off or holiday and calculates eligible Comp Offs according to policy thresholds.
Approval may still be required from the manager/designated approver depending on policy.
An employee works 9 hours on a Sunday. The system automatically credits 1 full-day Comp Off (if 9 hours meet the full-day threshold).
Grant Rules
Comp Off is manually granted to employees via the Comp Off Grant module.
Employees or HR can submit a request providing:Worked date, start/end times, reason, and supporting documents (if required).
Manager or designated approver reviews and approves the request.
The employee worked on a holiday but did not mark attendance. HR or employee submits a grant request. The manager approves, and the system credits 1 Comp Off day.
