The four builders at a glance

FieldWhat to enterRequired
Process BuilderPulseFlow › Process Builder. Design the form — sections, fields, layout, submission settings, and which workflow to trigger on submit. No
Workflow BuilderWorkflow › Workflow Builder. Define the approval chain that runs when a form is submitted. Attach the workflow to a form from Process Builder. No
Dynamic Form BuilderWorkflow › Dynamic Form Builder. Manage reusable form templates for common scenarios (Exit, Leave, Clearance, Vendor onboarding). No
SettingsPulseFlow › Settings. Register external systems (HRMS, ERP) and configure attribute categories so form fields can pull live data.No

Typical build order

1. Register any external systems you need data from in Settings.
2. Design the form in Process Builder.
3. Define the approval chain in Workflow Builder.
4. Back in Process Builder, link the workflow under Submission Settings.
5. Activate the form and assign permissions.

On this screen
You do not need to do these in order. If you already have a workflow ready, you can start from the form. If you have a template, start from Dynamic Form Builder and promote it to a live form.
Frequently asked
Do I need all four builders for a simple form?
No. A one-field form with a single approver needs only Process Builder + Workflow Builder.
Can I re-use a form across workflows?
Yes. Forms and workflows are linked under Submission Settings; you can change the linked workflow without recreating the form.
Is there a permission model for builders?
Yes. Access to each builder is controlled by roles in Managing Roles & Permissions.
