Work Schedule

Set the standard working hours, days, and shifts that govern attendance tracking, compliance, and payroll for every employee.

Core HR ▸ Organization Structure ▸ Work Schedule
Before You Start
  • HR Admin configuring the attendance, payroll, and compliance baseline for the company.
  • Work Schedules determine clock-in / clock-out windows, weekly off days, break times, and overtime eligibility.
What You'll Achieve
  • Define one or more Work Schedules that get assigned to employees by designation, department, or location.
  • Keep attendance calculations, payroll processing, and leave deductions accurate from day one.

Why this matters

A Work Schedule is the foundation for attendance and payroll.

ATTENDANCE BASELINE
Every punch, late mark, and shortage calculation is measured against the Work Schedule assigned to the employee.
PAYROLL & COMPLIANCE
Overtime, LOP, holiday pay, and statutory working-hour compliance all reference the active Work Schedule.

How to configure

Two quick steps to add a new Work Schedule.

On This Screen
The list view shows every Work Schedule already in the system. Use search to filter; click Add Configuration to create a new one.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can an employee have more than one active Work Schedule?
An employee has exactly one active Work Schedule at any given time. If the employee moves to a new shift, assign the new schedule and the old one becomes historical.
How are holidays handled inside a Work Schedule?
Holidays live in a separate Holiday Calendar tied to the employee's Location. On a holiday, the Work Schedule is paused and no attendance is expected.
Does changing a Work Schedule re-compute past attendance?
No. Changes take effect from the assignment date forward — historical attendance continues to use whatever schedule was active on that day.
Can I set a half-day schedule for a specific day (e.g. Saturday)?
Yes — use a shorter Shift End Time for that weekday in the schedule, or create a separate Work Schedule and rotate it in via Shift Roster.
