What This Section Does
HR Admins use this section to review pending attendance approvals and missed check-out records. The auto-closure process lets HR automatically finalize all pending draft attendance records that fall within the configured work schedule — in a single click.
Run Auto-Closure
1
Open the tab
Navigate to Attendance Finalization → Attendance (Incomplete).
2
Review the draft list
Verify the records listed are the ones you want to finalize — each is a day with a check-in but no matching check-out within the schedule.
3
Trigger auto-closure
Click Initiate Auto Closure & Approval. Any incomplete check-out times are automatically updated using the employee's associated work schedule.
On This Screen
The list displays employee, date, check-in time, missing check-out, and the assigned work schedule. A single action button triggers the closure for all listed records.

Tip
Run Auto Closure before starting payroll — any record still in draft state at the close of the period will block finalization.
Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly does auto-closure do?
It finds every draft record where check-in exists but check-out is missing, and sets the check-out time to the shift end from the work schedule — then marks the day approved.
Can I undo an auto-closure?
Admins can still edit punches through the attendance correction flow, or an employee can raise a regularization request if the auto-filled time is wrong.
What if an employee actually worked late past shift end?
Auto-closure will cap the check-out at the shift end. Raise a regularization request to capture the actual extra hours before approval.
Can this run automatically on a schedule?
Currently it's a manual action to keep HR in the loop. Run it at the end of every attendance cycle as part of the finalization sequence.
