Clone Employees

Rehire smart — reactivate past employees without re-running the full onboarding flow.

Why Cloning?

If an employee leaves the organization and later rejoins, there is no need to send the onboarding link again. All previously available details and documents are already stored in the system.

You can use the Clone feature to reactivate the employee's information while only updating the Employee ID and other relevant Job Info during the rejoining process.

What Carries Over vs. What You Update

AUTO-CARRIED
✓ Retained from the original record
Personal info, address, KYC documents, education, past experience, dependents, bank — every piece of data stored under the inactive profile.
UPDATE THESE
✎ Refresh during clone
New Employee ID + any Job Info that changes for the rejoining role — department, designation, grade, manager, date of joining.

💡 TIP
Always assign a new Employee ID when cloning — reusing the previous ID can collide with historical attendance, payroll, and audit records.
📌 NOTE
The Clone button only appears for Inactive employees. Make sure the Status filter is set before searching for the rejoining profile.
